The Cougars fought back from a 14 point deficit and stole a win at GCU on Saturday. Josh Meier put the Cougars up 56-55 with 7 seconds left. A great defensive stand by Clarke Rosenberg prevented GCU from having a good look for a potential game winner. Trayvon Palmer stepped it up in a big way in the game. Palmer had 30 points and 11 rebounds. The Cougars didn't really shoot well from the field but they rebounded the ball well (36-26 adv) and limited their TO's (compared to most games). The defense over the last 12 minutes allowed the Cougars to get back in the game as they only gave up 10 points in the last 12:02 of the 2H. Overall, a great win by the Cougars in a tough environment. Very proud of the team! Now they just need to continue and grab a couple wins during this home stand. First up, NMSU on Thursday! Game can be watched on the WAC Digital Network. Tip is at 7 central. Let's go Cougars!
